Venus of Suburbia
If you have wondered what it would be like to be painfully honest with yourself behind and in front of the camera, then look no further than «Venus of Suburbia: My Life is a Masterpiece.» This body of work is a self-portraiture, translation of famous masterpieces centered around my tragic and comedic, Bruta-Bella life as a single mother and middle aged woman. It is empathetic to all women and their own personal struggles with femininity, individuality, single parenting, aging, single life, sexuality, stigmatisms and motherhood, symbolizing past and present conflicts of psyche and daily life while poking fun at life’s circumstances, choosing laughter as the best remedy for hardship.
